I went to the workshop today to put everything together on the cherry piece, all was going well until it came to tightening the bolts. Eight out of the twenty pieces of perspex shattered, i didn't know it was so brittle under pressure. This set me back a bit as i had to make some alterations.
I subbed the perspex for dowel on the ones that broke and will just use pressure to hold it together until i have time to replace all of them with steel bolts. it doesn't look as refined but the amount you see is minimal so it shouldn't matter too much.
Also the board needed painting, AGAIN, due to me getting dirt all over it making alterations. Enough of me ranting, the piece looks just how i imagined and i cant wait to see it on the wall in a gallery/exhibition space.
